Ingredients:
Eggs
Water
Instructions:
Fill a small saucepan with enough water to cover the eggs.
Place the saucepan on the stove and bring the water to a rolling boil.
Once the water is boiling, use a spoon to carefully lower the eggs into the water.
Set a timer for 6 minutes for a slightly runny yolk, or 7 minutes for a more set yolk.
While the eggs are cooking, prepare a bowl of ice water.
Once the timer goes off, use a slotted spoon to remove the eggs from the boiling water and immediately place them into the ice water.
Let the eggs sit in the ice water for at least 1 minute to cool them down and stop the cooking process.
Remove the eggs from the ice water and gently tap the shells on a hard surface to crack them all over.
Peel off the shells starting at the wider end where the air pocket is located.
Serve the soft-boiled eggs immediately with toast or as desired.
Soft-boiled eggs are best served immediately while they are still warm and runny. Enjoy!
